Well, we don't know. Most of our close-by neighbors had told us they love the sign. I asked the three moms on the street -- with kids ranging from 6-years-old to college age -- and they unanimously told us they loved it. But obviously someone didn't.
Was it one of the people who comes down the hill right by our house, and therefore is the person to whom the sign was directed?
Isaac, luckily, never understood the real meaning of the bottom part of the sign. So he just asked, "Why did they cut off the 'please'?"

I still say that Scott and friends should go out one day and make a speed bump just ahead of the stop sign. That will slow 'em down...or destroy the transmission, which will stop 'em cold!
