Snow? What?

With relatives in Montana and Alaska, we're used to hearing about snow. But we're not used to experiencing it ourselves, unless we get in the car and take a trip up to Big Bear. That's why we're simultaneously shocked and amazed at this weekend's weather report: snow levels in L.A. are expected to drop to 500 feet.

And then I found an online tool that told me the elevation at our house. And it's 711.9. Wow!

Hmm... Weird. Sorry to hear about that. It's been snowing here for the past four days... Too bad it doesn't snow on a weekday... Boylee could experience his first "Snow Day".

When it snowed on a week day in Burbank in the mid-1950's, school kids were sent out to the playground to experience it. Snow fell for 5 minutes and melted about as fast.
