A Garden Tragedy

We don't know precisely what it is, but the tomato plants may be doomed.

Take a leaf or three to the garden center!

Are you over-watering?

Well a friend who knows a lot about tomatoes told me it's either early blight, late blight (that arrived early), or from it being too wet, not from overwatering but from the relentless mist that we've had for the last couple of weeks. Either way, I'm just going to let it go for now and see what happens over the next week or two. They'll either die or not.

Yep, looks like blight. Remove the diseased leaves on and around the plants. If you are growing them in pots, use new pots next time because the fungus will survive through winter. If the are in the garden, don't plant them in the same spot next season, and space them further apart for better air circulation. Avoid overhead irrigation. Water the roots deep. We hope they make it.
