This was a total, total dud.
It's really slow, really talky. They added other songs that aren't in the stage show. Brandon and Jean Simmoms sing so out of tune it's unbearable to listen to. Boylee hated it and we couldn't make it more than halfway through. I wish there was a better filmed version.

Do you listen to the soundtracks and/or read the book first? Helps to know a bit about the show.
OTOH, the film truly stinks (and everyone knew it at the time)
